আমিও যাব নিশ্চিন্তপুর
আমিও হব নিখোঁজ!
শহর ছেয়ে যাক হারানো বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে
রোদের মায়ায় হারিয়ে গেছে চম্পা চামেলি,
হারিয়ে গেছে সবুজ অভিমান, মুগ্ধ ভোরের আলো!
আমিও হব ফেরারী ভোর, ঘর পালানো মুগ্ধ পথিক!

এত রাত অব্দি জেগে থাকো কেন?
কি খোঁজো তুমি এখানে?
তোমার নামের প্রথম আদ্যাক্ষর!
হারিয়ে গেছে শ্রাবণ ধারায়
অন্তর্জালে পড়বে ধরা
চন্দ্রগ্রহণকালে
জ্যোতিষ বলেছিল
'কাটবে খরা'
শব্দ বন্যায় ভাসবে প অক্ষর ম অক্ষর
জল মগ্ন পঙতি মালা...
সেই থেকে ছিপ ফেলে বসে আছি!

That Champa Chameli has vanished,
Falling in love with the sun.
No more teenage feelings,
Bright is the glow of the morning!
I will also be the fugitive in the morning,
An excited onlooker escaping from
Dull, drab and domestic life.
