প্রতীক্ষা

একদিন প্রতীক্ষায় থেকে থেকে
তোমাকেই খুঁজে ফিরেছি বাতায়নে
চোখের দৃষ্টিতে ক্ষীণ স্রোতে ভাসি
দূরের রেখাপথ ধূসর দীপাবলি
মায়োপিয়া দু 'চোখ পোড়া শ্রাবণের
আশাবরী সঙ্গীতের সকরুণ মূর্ছনায়
এখন তোমার প্রতীক্ষার পালা
প্রলম্বিত দুপুরের দীর্ঘ ছায়া কিংবা
মার্তণ্ড তেজের অগ্নিত রোদ্দুর
তুমি খুঁজে ফিরবে জলজ সরোবর
তৃষ্ণার অধিক যদি আর কিছু থাকে
সে আকণ্ঠ আকিঞ্চন নিয়ে সখা
খুঁজতেই থাকো, খুঁজতেই থাকো...
আমি ছায়ার প্রশান্তি নিয়ে
রোদ্দুরে রশ্মি হয়ে একদিন ফিরবোই
বাতায়ন খুলে রেখো!

Not too far off

When I waited and waited for you,
Looking out the window.
On the way to a mild stream in my vision,
The line of the remote path displays a dull row of lights.
Two myopic eyes reflect the miserable rhythm
Of Srabon and all the tunes full of hope.

Now it's your swing to hold tight,
The lengthening shadow of noon,
Or the singing warmth of the sun.
Continue your search for the watery lake!
If there is anything but thirst,
More desires to be fulfilled,
So darling, keep looking.

With the serenity of the shadows,
The rays of the sun, I must return one day,
Keep your windows open. Remember.
Waiting is another name for Love.
