দূর দৃশ্যের বিভ্রম
-জে এম আজাদ

ঐ দূর বনের টিলা, ওটাকে পর্বত ভেবেছিলাম
ওটাকে পর্বত ভেবে কতবার যে বাস্ত বলাকা হয়ে
উড়ে গেছি আকাশ লতায়;
কতবার যে মেঘ ছুঁয়ে ছু্ঁয়ে গাঢ় করেছি
বায়ূবদ্ধ জল, কোজাগরী চাঁদের পূর্ণিমা
শেষটায় এসে দেখি
অহল্যা এক জমিনের তুষ-কণায় আটকে আছি।
ঐ দূর বনের কুন্ডলী, ওটাকে ঘর ভেবেছিলাম
ওটাকে ঘর ভেবে কতবার যে সংসার গড়েছি,
পান জলের খোজে এই আর্যমনে
কতবার যে সমুদ্র খুঁড়েছি,
ঘর তপস্যায় আকাশবর্তী হতে চেয়ে কতবার যে
শঙ্খচিলের ডানায় বেঁধে দিয়েছি স্বপ্নপালক
তার ইয়ত্তা নেই;
শেষটায় এসে দেখি
তার মাধবী মনের স্রোত এসে থেমে গেছে
এক বন্ধ্যা নদের শিলায়।

Remote visual illusion

The molehill in this distant forest
I have seen it so often for a mountain,
I flew into the air like a stork in exile.
Caress the condensed cloud often,
I tried to meet the humid air,
Watch the full moon on a 'Kartik' night,
I'm stuck in the snowflakes
Stacked on an unexplored land.
The group of trees in the forest
Looked like my impending habitat,
I develop my natural environment,
As an exhibitor, I waved the ocean
To discover a source of drinking water.
To build a house, I joined the sky,
Attached the fantastic feather with the unbound kite,
So many times that nobody could quantify.
Finally, I just realized that the flow
From his myrtle spirit stopped,
Blocked by the rock of a barren river!
