জেনে রাখো

যদি একবার দূরে চলে যাই, তবে
পিছু ফিরে আর চাইবো না----
যতোই তুমি ভালোবাসার কথা বলো,
যতোই তুমি দেখাও সুখের লোভ,
যদি একবার ধরা ছোঁয়ার বাইরে চলে যাই, তবে
আর তুমি স্পর্শের সীমানায় পাবে না আমায়!
হাতের মুঠোয় পুরতে পেরেছো বলে,
মনের ভেতর এই যে এত বেশি তৃপ্তি!
মুঠো গলে যখন নাগাল ছাড়িয়ে যাবো,
প্রাণপন ছুটেও তখন নাগালে পাবে না----
ভালোবাসা দিয়ে বেঁধে রাখো আমায়,
শাসনের বেড়াজালে আটকে রেখে
আত্মতৃপ্তি লাভে সন্তুষ্টি চেয়ো না---
একবার যদি শুরু হয় হৃদয়ের ভাঙন,
সে ভাঙন জোড়া দেবো, সে সাধ্য
আমাদের দুজনের কারোরই নেই---
ভালোবাসার মায়ায় কাছে ধরে রাখো,
অভিমান বুকে নিয়ে যদি একবার চলে যাই দূরে,
ফিরে আর আসবো না, জেনে রাখো----

The moment I move away from you,
I won't think back behind me,
No matter how much you talk about love
Or how strong you allure me.
If eventually, I go past your contact,
You do not find me inside the range
So you cannot touch me physically.

Holding me in your tight grip,
You appear to be fulfilled and smug!
Once I sift away from your hand,
You cannot catch me chasing hard.
You better tie me with love
Instead of making me a hostage
By a set of tenets and taboos.
Never try to be complacent.

Once the heart is broken,
None of us can repair the rupture.
Carry me with love and devotion,
If I go away being moody,
Have it for in truth,
I am not going to re-emerge.
