বড় গলায় বড় বড় না পাওয়া নিয়ে
আদিখ্যেতা করি জনারন্যে।
হাত ধরে হাটা হয়নি দীর্ঘতম সমূদ্রতট,
তোমায় নিয়ে চোখ মেলে দেখা হয়নি
বড় পাহাড়চুড়োটা,
ছুঁয়ে দেয়া হয়নি
নীলগিরির জলভরা মেঘ।
ডুব দেয়া হলনা মাধবকুন্ডুর ঠান্ডা পানিতে।
ফ্রেমবন্দী করা হয়নি
রাতারগুলের ঝুঁকে পড়া গাছগুলোও।
এত বড় বড় না পাওয়ার ভিড়ে
চুপটি করে লুকিয়ে থাকে
তোমার কানে স্বপ্ন আর
কল্পনার জাল বুনতে না পারার কষ্ট।
ফিসফিস করে প্রিয় সুর
না গাইতে পারার নিরন্তর দুঃখ।
বুকের মানচিত্রে
অধরের অবাধ অধিকারের স্মৃতিহীনতা।
স্পর্শের আবেশে রাতজাগা ভোর
না পাবার সীমাহীন হাহাকার।
হৃদয়ে দুন্দুভি বাজায় অলস দুপুর
আর ব্যর্থতায় কাঁদে আমারই রোজনামচা।
ছোট বড় এসব চাওয়া তো অনেকেরই।
কেউ বলে, কেউ বলেনা।
আমি না হয় বড়র ভিড়েই মিশে থাকি।
এ দলে যে অসংখ্য।

I shout while denied my owing,
Even protest amidst the crowd.
Yet to walk down the longest beach,
Holding your hand in hand.
We haven't seen together,
The pinnacle of the greatest tor,
The wet clouds of Nilgiri,
Still forgotten to be touched.
Nor did we dive into the cool
Water of the Madhavkundu fall.
Neither had we captured in the frame,
The hanging bushes of Ratargul.

Amidst unfulfilled want,
You conceal all desires and hopes,
Curbing the flight of imagination.
Though the pet song rings in your ear,
You cannot sing nor can you whisper.

The privilege of grabbing my boobs, kissing my lips,
Gone into oblivion as my memory slips.
With the obsession of your touch,
I keep wide awake till morning,
There is no risk, but there is still regret.
The lethargic noon beats on the trumpet
In my heart and makes me cry,
Crashing my daily schedule sadly.
Many of us love these little or great hopes,
Few people express while others suppress.
I have a leaning with the crowd,
For the majority should be granted.
