তোমাকে নিয়ে লিখব ভাবলেই-
এক টুকরো আকাশ এসে সামনে দাঁড়ায়।
না,রোদেলা ঝকঝকে আকাশ নয়,
মেঘলা ছায়াঢাকা আকাশ!
মন খারাপের আকাশ নয়,
মনের মেঘ কেটে যাওয়ার আকাশ।
তোমাকে নিয়ে ভাবতে বসলেই-
বৃষ্টিরা এসে আমায় ঘিরে ধরে।
না,কান্নাঝরানো বৃষ্টি নয়
অঝোরধারার সুখের বৃষ্টি!
গুমরে ওঠা কষ্টের বৃষ্টি নয়,
মনের মেঘ ধুয়ে যাবার বৃষ্টি।
তাহলে তুমি মানেই কি আকাশ?
তোমার অন্য নামই কি বৃষ্টি?
এ প্রশ্ন আমার বহুদিনের

A segment of the sky comes into view.
It's not the sheer sunny sky,
Rather overcast, a little gray.
