I charge you in front of God,
And Christ who is to judge you;
Of the times that you were flawed,
To the Word you were not true.

He returns and appearing,
To judge the living and dead;
All who have been revering,
And unbelievers who dread.

You must preach the Holy Word,
And be ready in season;
With the fake news that is heard,
Rebuking with a reason.

Have complete patience teaching,
Enduring through the doctrine;
Itching ears as far-reaching,
In spiritual discipline.

Teaching to suit your passion,
For yourself to accommodate;
For preaching in a fashion,
Of the Word you validate.

They will turn away their ears,
From listening to the truth;
Fables and myths are their fears,
That they learned back in their youth.

Always be sober-minded,
Watching out in all the things;
Afflictions having blinded,
The promises that God brings.

I have already poured out,
Being a drink offering;
For others to shed their doubt,
Christ is there for buffering.

For I have fought a good fight,
While finishing the race;
My faith kept eyeing the light,
Through the blessing of His grace.

A crown of righteousness waits,
That has been laid up for me;
When I walk through the gates,
Awarded being sin free.
