Praise God and Father of the Lord,
Father of mercies and comfort;
To whom we have loved and adored,
Able to shield us to divert.

He comforts us when affliction,
Overcomes us to much to bear;
Able to help through addiction,
When we admit the fault in prayer.

The ones who are in any kind,
Of affliction that we receive;
A comfort for easing the mind,
If your faith truly does believe.

For as the sufferings of Christ,
Overflow into each of us;
The reason He was sacrificed,
For the comforting thought as thus.

It will be for your salvation,
For your comfort when afflicted;
Building us a firm foundation,
Strengthening us when convicted.

We experience an endurance,
Of the same woes that we suffer;
Building us up in confidence,
Because Christ is there to buffer.

Our hope for you remains firm,
Because we know that as you share;
In sufferings for the short term,
When going to the Lord in prayer.

We want not you be unaware,
Of affliction has taken place;
We were overwhelmed that you share,
So, our despair Christ will embrace.

But we had been sentenced to death,
That we would not put our trust;
But God who is giving new breath,
While forming us from the dust.

We have put our hope in Him,
On behalf for the gift received;
Giving us a spiritual vim,
Having the faith that has believed.
