A New Life

I testify in the Lord,
That You must no longer walk;
In futility that’s ignored,
As the Gentiles would talk.

Their understanding is dark,
Alienated from God’s life;
Ignorance where they embark,
Hardened hearts that causes strife.

They become callous to feel,
Practice every kind of greed;
Sensuality to zeal,
Their desires are their need.

That is not the way you learned,
Assuming that you have heard;
Taught the truth as you have earned,
Knowledge of Christ in the Word.

Cast out the former manner,
Of deceitful desires;
Be a spiritual planner,
To what Heaven requires.

Make the spirit of your mind,
And to put your new self on;
Being righteously aligned,
That creates you a new dawn.
