The Lord was forming locusts,
As the grain began to sprout;
The king’s mowing from his lusts,
That the harvest was in doubt.

They finished eating the grass,
I asked, O Lord, please forgive;
Allow this judgment to pass,
So that these people can live.

The Lord said, “It shall not be,”
For judgment shall by fire;
To devour all you see,
No longer to acquire.

The Lord stood beside a wall,
With a plumb line in His hand;
A plumb line is what I saw,
To be sent where people stand.

God will never pass by them,
High places made desolate;
And He will never condemn,
Wasted land they did devastate.
