Bless our God O people,
Let the sound of praise be heard;
Assemble within His temple,
While proclaiming His Word.

He has kept our soul in life,
Not letting our feet slip;
Suffering not from the strife,
Smiting not as we worship.

For You, O God tested us,
You have tried as silver tried;
In feeling the stress as thus,
Your pity heard as we cried.

You brought us into the net,
Laid a burden on the back;
Exposing of our debt,
For sincerity we lack.

Men rode over our head,
Gone through water and fire;
A wealthy place we are fed,
No more earthly desire.
