A soft answer turns away wrath,
But a harsh word stirs up anger;
When resistance crosses your path,
Have confidence not to linger.

A wise tongue will commend wisdom,
But mouths of fools pour out folly;
For blessings flow from the Kingdom,
That will be keeping you holy.

The Lord’s eyes are in every place,
Keeping watch on evil and good;
Good works are showered with His grace,
When pursuing the way, they should.

Gentle tongues are a tree of life
Perverseness breaks the spirit;
Which causes you toil and strife.
As it reflects on your merit.
