Praise unto the Lord, O my soul,
Praising Him as long as I live;
Singing praises to take control,
Thanking for all that He does give.

Put not your trust into rulers,
In whom there is no salvation;
Their deception can be foolers,
That would destroy your foundation.

When His breath goes forth and departs,
That very day His plans perish;
He returns to earth to mend hearts,
Reviving them who did cherish.

Bless the ones whose help is in God,
And those whose hope is in the Lord;
Worshipping to honor and laud,
Showing that He is adored.
