God’s people went down to Egypt,
The Assyrians crushed without cause;
Persecution from the corrupt,
Who have disregarded His Laws.

He saw they were taken away,
Their rulers wail declares the Lord;
For they howl as they disobey,
He despised since they have ignored.

The Lord’s people shall know His name,
In that day they know He shall speak;
For the Lord is here to proclaim,
That they call upon Him to seek.

How beautiful are the mountains,
That are nestled below His feet;
Brings good news to the peace fountains,
Publishes salvation to greet.

Your God reigns to lift up His voice,
Together they shall sing for joy;
For eye to eye as they rejoice,
Return to Zion to deploy.

Break forth together by singing,
Waste places of Jerusalem;
The Lord comforts into bringing,
Punishment to foes and condemn.

The Lord made bare His holy arm,
Before the eyes of each nation;
To His chosen who causes harm,
He brings them annihilation.
