I thank the Lord for strength He gave,
Because He had judged me faithful;
For I am spiritually brave,
Appointing me for I’m able.

Though formerly a blasphemer,
And an insolent opponent;
But Christ is my redeemer,
And has made me a proponent.

The grace of the Lord overflowed
Erased ignorant unbelief;
His faith and love were then bestowed,
To cancel out all of my grief.

For the saying is trustworthy,
Deserving of full acceptance;
Saved sinners when hung a on tree,
Those who offered their repentance.

I have mercy for this reason,
Christ displayed His perfect patience;
Because of what Jesus has done,
Saved us for an inheritance.

Eternal life from our King,
Who is our God only wise;
Honor and glory He does bring,
Invisible from our eyes.
