I love the Lord for He heard me,
Because He had inclined His ear;
For mercy I had sent my plea,
Calling upon Him for my fear.

I call Him as long as I live,
As I speak my supplications;
Confessing for Him to forgive,
Of my wrongful complications.

Snares of death have encompassed me,
The pains of hell cause me sorrow;
Distress and anguish I can see,
Hopes for a better tomorrow.

I call on the name of the Lord,
I pray to deliver my soul,
Praying to God I have implored,
I cede myself to His control.
