The upright rises to the light,
Gracious, merciful, and righteous;
As the dawning chases the night,
Compassion awakes the conscious.

It’s well to deal generously,
To conduct affairs with justice;
Lending unto rigorously,
Helping another to confess.

The righteous will never be moved,
To be remembered forever;
On a life that has been behooved,
And principles will not sever.

Fear not about any bad news,
With firm heart in trusting the Lord;
But help others the life they choose,
Not letting the Word be ignored.

A steady heart won’t be afraid,
Until the triumph over foes;
Not ever becoming dismayed,
But praise as the blessing flows.

Distribute freely to the poor,
A horn will exalt to honor;
Bequest remembered evermore,
As being a righteous fawner.
