On the promise to enter rest,
You seem to have failed to reach it,
To fall short but let us fear lest,
Connected with thought and merit.

The Good News came just as to them,
But the message that they have heard;
Benefits not to the condemn,
Divided by faith in the Word.

We who believe enter that rest,
As He had worn upon that wrath;
The condemn shall never be blest,
Shall experience the aftermath.

His works finished the foundation,
Spoken about the seventh day;
God had given us salvation,
Because of tendency to stray.

On the seventh day God rested,
From all of His works He had done;
Because what He had invested,
And the condemn then He will shun.
