Remember my afflictions,
And all of my wanderings;
The wormwood of addictions,
Resentment from sufferings.

My soul always remembers,
And has bowed down within me;
Humbled by burning embers,
Therefore, having eyes to see.

But this I recall to mind,
My faith is having the hope;
A steadfast love as aligned,
Never ceasing that I cope.

The steadfast love of the Lord,
His mercies never to end;
Relief fails not to afford,
Not just God but as a friend.

They are new every morning,
And great is His faithfulness;
To honor in adorning,
Displaying such gracefulness.

For the Lord is my portion,
Therefore, I will hope in God;
Focused without distortion,
As I give honor and laud.

God is good for those who wait,
To every soul that does seek;
Like a Shepherd at the gate,
Guides the fawner who is weak.

It is good who quietly waits,
For the hope of salvation;
As the Lord evaluates,
To make a new creation.

It is good for one to bear,
The memory of his youth;
Confessing to God to share,
The times that had been uncouth.
