You be doers of the Word,
Not just as hearers only;
Deceiving to just have heard,
For doing keeps you holy.

If you are just a hearer,
And not a doer of the Word;
You cannot be a fearer,
That the Lord has gently stirred.

Like a man who sees a face,
His own face in a mirror;
But overlooks the disgrace,
Has committed in error.

For he looks and goes away,
What he was like he forgets;
Then goes out to go astray,
Without having the regrets.

Look into the perfect Law,
As the Law of liberty;
Perseveres to not to flaw,
Binds to the Lord’s property.
