Charge the rich in this present age,
Of the haughty and high-minded;
Hopes of uncertainty they wage,
The lust for greed made them blinded.

But God who does richly provide,
With everything that we enjoy;
That they do good as they abide,
Rich in good works that they employ.

Be generous, ready to share,
Storing for themselves a treasure;
For the future that they prepare,
Which is a life full of pleasure.

Guard deposits confide in you,
Avoid irreverent babble;
Contradictions that are not true,
And arguments that they gabble.

From the faith that some may have swerved,
Which some professing not from grace;
Made insults that are undeserved,
Once they’re said can never erase.
