O God, You are my God,
Earnestly I seek you;
For I honor and laud,
Everything that is true.

My soul thirsts and flesh faints,
A dry and weary land;
The heat has such restraints,
It is hard for to stand.

No water anywhere,
So, I look upon You;
In Your desert to share,
A taste of morning dew.

Your glory and power,
For Your steadfast love;
Unto me in this hour,
Can bring rain from above.

Your love better than life,
My lips will give you praise;
It’s hard to cope with strife,
And the hardships always.

For as long as I live,
I will bless of your name;
The praises I will give,
With my hands I proclaim.
