All you adulterous people,
Knowing not friendship of this world;
Never knowing of the Gospel,
And of God’s plan that has unfurled.

Whoever to the world a friend,
Makes himself as a foe to God;
That is causing Him to offend,
Since they do not honor and laud.

Do you think Scripture says in vain,
That you dwell in envy for lust;
Causing your spirit to have pain,
When having in God a distrust.

For God is oppressing the proud,
But gives grace unto the humble;
Because when pride becomes too loud,
Hate and discontent will grumble.

Submit yourself therefore to God,
Resist the devil who will flee;
The Holy Spirit cleans where flawed,
And God will give insight to see.

Draw near to God and He draws near,
Cleanse hands and purify your heart;
Show forth to honor and revere,
Know His Scriptures as to impart.

Be afflicted and mourn to weep,
Letting your joy change into gloom;
The heaviness cause you to sleep,
To be resurrected from the tomb.

Humble yourself before the Lord,
He shall lift up and exalt you;
And you will be in one accord,
Think of Christ whatever you do.
