For while we were still weak,
At the time that Christ died;
We had gone out as to seek,
Those who saw the crucified.

None die for a righteous man,
Though perhaps one that is good;
For what the Father did plan,
Save the ungodly that stood.

But God shows His love for us,
While we were still sinners;
Because Christ died for you as thus,
To make us righteous winners.

We have now been justified,
And saved from the wrath of God;
By blood from the crucified,
Confessing to cleanse where flawed.

For if we were enemies,
To God we’re reconciled;
No longer with blasphemies,
For we are the Father’s child.

We rejoice in Christ as Lord,
And have received atonement;
As we live in one accord,
As a form of appeasement
