You are my God and my Savior,
My soul has been thirsting for You;
I seek You who has showed favor,
Because my flesh seeks to pursue.

I live in a dry and weary land,
Where we have been without water;
The parched ground is turning to sand,
To quench my son and daughter.

I look in the sanctuary,
Beholding Your power and grace;
For steadfast love shine Your glory,
For a better life in this place.

My lips praise You for Your blessings,
For I live praising Your name;
Satisfaction to my soul brings,
Great joy as long as I proclaim.

I remember You in my bed,
Meditate You through the night;
Thanking Your for the meal I’m fed,
Praise You to see the morning light.

You have been there to render aid,
Strength in the shadow of Your wings;
Confidence not to be afraid,
The brilliance what the darkness brings.

My soul follows and clings to You,
While Your right hand upholds me;
I know all that You said is true,
As You give insight as to see.
