You fulfill the royal Law,
According to the Scripture;
Helps your neighbors if they fall,
You do well as you capture.

But if partiality,
Of one over another,
That is an iniquity,
In favor of one brother.

You have committed a sin,
Convicted a transgression;
Then favoritism therein,
Regret in your confession.

You’re guilty if you offend,
Favored one for another;
Calling only one a friend,
And by shunning the other.

Don’t commit adultery,
Nor commit murder or steal;
Acts of immorality,
Transgressions that appeal.

Avoid any iniquity,
Judgment that’s under the Law;
Rather Law of liberty,
For avoiding any flaw.

Judgment is without mercy,
For one no mercy has shown;
Mercy triumphs who would see,
Sitting on the judgment throne.
