Remember of the former days,
When you were illuminated;
You endured struggling in the ways,
Of being discriminated.

Afflictions publicly exposed,
Reproaches that made you suffer;
Companions that were undisclosed,
Not found when needed to buffer.

You had compassion those in prison,
Joyfully accepts plundering;
Abiding for the possession,
Of property when enduring.

Heaven has a better substance,
In which will have a great reward;
Throw not away your confidence,
Before you will be meeting the Lord.

You have the need of endurance,
When you have done the will of God;
You will be needing the patience,
So that you will not become flawed.

The coming One will soon arrive,
He will not tarry or delay;
Be aware in Christ you survive,
As long as you trust and obey.

My righteous One by faith shall live,
Because my soul will have pleasure;
By confessing God will forgive,
And be rewarded with treasure.

But anyone who would shrink back,
Have no faith, their soul will decay;
Perdition for the faith they lack,
Deliberate sin that makes them stray.
