When I came here to you,
Did not come to proclaim;
Testified God as true,
His wisdom to inflame.

I decided to know,
Why Christ was crucified;
Of what that Scriptures show,
One being mortified.

I had felt the weakness,
And with trembling in fear;
The future showed bleakness,
One that we did revere.

My message not enticed,
No wisdom plausible;
To see the cross of Christ,
Not being liable.

So, your faith might not rest,
In the wisdom of man;
But the Spirit to quest,
To comprehend God’s plan.
