When Christ came into the world,
Sacrifices you would not;
A body prepared has unfurled,
The offerings God had sought.

In burnt and sin offerings,
You have taken no pleasure;
Because of what God’s will brings,
Neither of desired treasure.

Neither desired nor taken,
Pleasure in sacrifices;
Because you have forsaken,
Things on earth that entices.

I have come to do God’s will,
He does away with the first;
Launching order to instill,
Because I righteously thirst.

For we have been sanctified,
Through the offering of Christ;
Of our sins crucified,
Once and for all sacrificed.
