When I came, did I not proclaim,
The testimony of the Lord;
With lofty wisdom in His name,
And speech that cannot be ignored.

I decided to know nothing,
Except Christ who was crucified;
Amongst you what I am noting,
After which He was glorified.

I was with you having weakness,
In fear and very much trembling;
Became a fawner through meekness,
So many of you were grumbling.

Rather my speech and my message,
Not plausible words of wisdom;
But demonstrating the presage,
For the power of His Kingdom.

That your faith unable to rest,
In the wisdom coming from man;
Through His Spirit to do your best,
From power of God and in His plan
