God is being rich in mercy,
Because of His great love for us;
Giving wisdom and insight to see,
Mercy and grace to bless as thus.

Even when we were dead in sin,
Christ made us alive together;
By grace you have been saved within,
By His Spirit where we gather.

We are raised up and sit with Him,
Together in Heaven with Christ;
Nothing for making us feel grim;
Nor on the earth to be enticed.

In the coming age He might show,
Immensurate wealth of His grace;
So that we will finally know,
The graciousness of His embrace.

For by grace through faith you are saved,
This is not of your own doing;
No longer in being enslaved,
By evil of Satan’s choosing.

It is truly a gift from God,
Not as a result of your deeds;
Rather faith that will let you laud,
So that boasting never succeeds.
