I thank the Lord who gave me strength,
Because He has judged me faithful;
And I persevere at any length,
For His service I am grateful.

Prior I was a blasphemer,
And an insolent opponent;
Being a conniving schemer,
Persecuting the repugnant.

But I received mercy and grace,
For my ignorant unbelief;
Christ had given me an embrace,
Giving me spiritual relief.

His grace overflowed upon me,
The faith and love in Jesus Christ;
Bestowing His insight to see,
Made me spiritually enticed.

Now trustworthy and deserving,
Deserving of full acceptance;
Jesus came to save us from sinning,
Help us to be in compliance.

I received grace for this reason,
Christ displays His perfect patience;
And knowing now what He has done,
Purifying of my conscience,

Unto the King of the ages,
The only wise God be honor;
His glory always engages,
That is making me a fawner.
