You have dealt well with your servant,
Teach me good judgment and knowledge;
My belief do remain fervent,
Your commandments I acknowledge.

I was stricken and went astray.
But now I am keeping Your Word;
Affliction causes me to pray.
Because my emotions are stirred.

You are good always doing good,
Teaching me of all Your statutes;
Of everything of what I should,
Throughout all my daily pursuits.

The insolent smear me with lies,
But my whole heart keeps your precepts;
They help me to open my eyes,
To the Scriptures and their concepts.

The heart of my foes is like fat,
But I will delight in Your Law;
Soothing prayer whenever I chat,
Confessing of what caused a flaw.

It is good when I’m afflicted,
That I might learn from Your statutes;
About the sin that addicted,
That Your Law constantly refutes.

The Law from Your mouth is better,
Than all of the silver or gold;
How to follow to the letter,
Like a Father that would have told.
