O God, for You are my God,
I seek You for my soul thirsts;
My flesh faints in being flawed,
Desires of the heart bursts.

This is a dry and weary land,
Where there has been no water;
As I look for Your command,
The feeling for the slaughter.

I need a sanctuary,
From Your power and glory;
There’s no rest for the wary,
For judgment from a jury.

Your love is better than life,
My lips will be praising You;
Your blessings avoids the strife,
Your name tell me it is true.

Your rich food has satisfied,
Of my soul and joyful lips;
As my heart is sanctified,
The sweet wine that my tongue sips.

I remember when in bed,
Meditate throughout the night;
Recalling what Your Word said,
Visions that give me insight.

I sing for joy in Your Wings,
As Your right hand upholds me;
I follow as my soul clings,
Awaiting for Your decree.
