Sing to the LORD
Praise the Lord, sing Him a new song,
Praising in the congregation;
Where the godly and saints belong,
He has granted us salvation.
Let Israel rejoice and sing,
The children of Zion joyful;
Of their Creator and their King,
Being glad He is merciful.
Let them praise His name in dancing,
Making a melody to Him;
Praising unto Him as they sing,
Energy from spiritual vim.
Play the tambourine and lyre,
Along with the timbrel and harp;
To delight the Lord’s desire,
With attire and looking sharp.
For the people are His pleasure,
Adorns the humbled salvation;
Beautified meek are His treasure,
Has become His new creation.
Let the godly exult glory,
While the saints being joyful;
Enlightened to know the story,
How the Lord is always faithful.
Let them sing for joy on their bed,
Sing aloud high praises to God;
Eternal life given instead,
They persist to honor and laud.
Let high praise be in their throats,
As two-edge swords are in their hands;
The memories of each one quotes,
Merely as the Lord commands.
They perform vengeance on heathen,
Punishment upon the nations;
Justice is served to discipline,
Those with immoral intentions.
Execute on judgment written,
Binding kings and nobles in chains;
The dishonor and forbidden,
As the Lord upon His throne reigns.
