Have you really listened to politicians
They talk with what they've written
The night before about how they feel
In reality they themselves are bitten

Take Australia's P M speaking publicly
He rubbishes the opposition always
The other one never does this at all
Just talks of hopefully better days

The P M is unknowing expressing fear
That the other one scares him no end
For the other one only wants happiness
In time up the track 'round the bend

Surely lots must pick this up as well
As within the P M 's talk there is fear
He starts with this finishes with same
But thinks he's holding everyone near

If a friend speaks badly of another one
A fool feels he's covering his fears true
The one he ridicules never does this
There are fears being hidden through

People always find it better to do this
Pull another down rather than to climb
Not having what the other has they feel
It happens every day all the very time

The listeners wonder why do this thing
The proofs always in the doing after all
But ridiculing others don't win votes
Enough to drive good friends up the wall
