This is a poem given to myself as a
child by my grandmother who found
it in a news paper under her old carpet
it was dated 1912 ..

It takes a lot of courage
It calls for strength to mind~
To make a new beginning
And leave the past behind~
To build upon the ruins
And dream another dream~
To set forth in the darkness
Towards a distant gleam~
Having suffered many losses
Yet faithful to remain~
To rise above past disasters
And then to begin again~
