Born I'm sure an accident belonged did I
To both my parents my mums blood line
My fathers ancestors french Revolution
Good blood and good attitude ever fine

My father a perfectionist highest values
Methodical systematic mathematician too
Worked all his life the old school ways
Mostly seven days a week providing through

Everything he took on diligent despite diversity
Too much to note here and now good at all
My mother had several personalities all strong
Each one blamed the other one should one fall

I got the best of all positives from my mum
I got most of all diligence from my own dad
But I never got his ability to forgive and forget
Or his patience humility stamina that he had

In a small town of would be's if they could be's
A man there was never ever one that was as he
From his work sport boxing perseverance with all
Everyday was a new day to him setting past free

After all said and done he told me he'd never
Ever really knew real peace of mind in life

I told him one day dad I'll find it for you mate
Despite all life threw at him happiness a good wife

Well it's not easy pleasing all all the time a dream
Amd moslyt one can please a few if giving to them
But I found that peace of mind for you dad my mate
And there's no way i'll be without it in life ever ag'en
