Beautiful songs are like children
One day they all just grow old
And after awhile loves friends and all
They within hearts all join the fold

Writers I should know become forgotten
And their inner feelings all thus fly
Into the mighty storeroom of memories
Almost as soon as they fade away to die

At times those memories come back
Having a few remember away back when
But in comes life and daily as if strife
Forgotten all over once it seems ag'en

But beautiful songs have a way of being
Even though maybe the same over again
They will always be there turning up
In days of sunshine and even days of rain
