The God of Comfort
Bless the Father of our Lord,
The Father of mercy and grace;
To whom is worshipped and adored,
While feeling His sweet embrace.
He is the God of all comfort,
Comforts us in our trouble;
Healing us whenever we hurt,
He pulls us out of the rubble.
A comforting that we are blest,
Comforting our suffering;
Comforting so that we may rest,
Ever present for buffering.
Suffering of Christ overflows,
While He gives comfort through Christ;
For the Father already knows,
If we already sacrificed.
Sacrificed as through affliction,
Through the comfort of salvation;
Devoting Christ your affection,
For building your foundation.
Suffering through an endurance,
We suffer but knowing of hope;
Giving us the perseverance,
Allowing of a means to cope.
Because our hope is steadfast,
In the sufferings that we share;
Persevering to ever last,
When we go unto God in prayer.
We do want you to be aware,
Regarding any affliction;
If you do not attempt to share,
It will spread like an infection.
I feel like a sentence of death,
That is being passed against me;
As I am writing with each breath,
Fading eyesight makes hard to see.
But some risks that I must take,
Sharing the Gospel, I will share;
For the Lord I will not forsake,
Since I actually do care.
