Walking in Truth and Love

I rejoice greatly to find,
Children walking in the truth;
Being with pure and sound mind,
Not by being rude or uncouth.

We were told by the Father,
Not writing a new command;
But as one that goes further.
Since the start God did demand.

We have since the beginning,
Told to love one another;
But we tend to go sinning,
As we fight our brother.

This is not love that we walk,
Not doing as we have heard;
Not having a kindly talk,
As established in the Word.

Just as you heard from the start,
That you should be walking in;
Having engraved in your heart,
Rather than continued sin.

Many deceivers have gone,
Those who never do confess;
Christ returning in the dawn,
To comfort those in distress,

Someone as a deceiver,
Considered the antichrist;
For being a perceiver,
Through evil to be enticed.

Watch yourself so not to lose,
Of what we have accomplished;
For the reward that we choose,
By remaining unblemished.

Each one who goes on ahead,
And abides not what is taught;
On Judgment Day they will dread,
Because of evil onslaught.

Whoso stands in the teaching,
Has both the Father and Son;
His Spirit is out reaching,
The goodness that you have done.

Whoever greets Him takes part,
Not within the wicked ways;
Allowing Christ in your heart,
Whoever constantly prays.
