Casting spells and catching stars
She touched the ashes can she escape the curse
Badly burned she hides the scars
Spiritual torment is the worse

Abandoned tears endless fears
From her pain she tries to hide
Through squinted eyes she peers
Her heaven and hell did collide

She tried to hide his word within her heart
And be pleasing in his eyes
She loved him so much from the very start
And it was he who heard cries

She allowed herself to be led astray
In front of her savior she did sin
How she was fooled she cannot say
At first it was God's heart she tried to win

But facing the darkness she resisted the light
Finding comfort amongst the strangers
Becoming a disgrace in heavens sight
She couldn't see the dangers

Upon her her heart his mark he did leave
While dancing in an unseen place
And swimming in the secret lake
With her friend that had no face

Up above she can hear their wings
She tries to retreat into the deep
Where the whispering voice sings
Desiring her soul to keep

How she misses the mysterious creature
If only he could have saved her
In time he could not reach her
Once so confident but now not so sure

On the surface she looks alive
But inside she fears she is dead
Where will her soul arrive
When her earthly flesh has finally shed
