Watch a documentary of Philippines
It long ago was wealthy as could be
How folk all survived then once
Happy content confident and free

Then along then came the Spanish
Killed any in their way with ease
Bringing with them their religion
Their politics as they'd please

Including keeping many poor
Easier for them to controle
Doing their homework first of all
Gone forever once days of old

Once way more a beautiful people
Even though they are still today
But not as before Spanish arrived
From then fall in line do as told I say

If Filipino's were educated being one
From the little folk up to survive
Lots having gone would still be
Still happy contributing and alive
In a way more beautiful country

Before planned greed took place
However the fight still within many
To be as they were born to be once
Nobody back when talked down to any

That was then this is now could be again
If all Filipino's stood together as one
Like before their spirit was then broken
I dream of them saying in time we won

Could be would be should be as before
Their long lost hero's all would smile
Not easy but with determination
In the name Philippines worth while
