The Twilight of Life

Remember your Creator,
In all the days of your youth;
As the Officiator,
The Defender of the truth.

The coming of evil days,
As those years are drawing near;
Everyone disobeys,
No longer has any fear.

I have no pleasure in them,
As the only one to say;
For I know God will condemn,
Anyone who goes astray.

Before the light from the sun,
Darkens the moon and the stars;
Clouds return rain has begun,
Acid rain will leave its scars.

In the day when the keepers,
Of the house starts to shiver;
Awakens all the sleepers,
Flooding banks at the river.

For the strong men have been bent,
And grinders cease being few;
Because they could not prevent,
Or just how they should construe.

Those who look through windows are blurred,
As the doors are shut and locked;
What has been said has been slurred,
The sound of grinding is blocked.

One rises up at the sound,
Of a bird chirping a song;
All the daughters gather round,
For hearing what they have long.

They are afraid what is high,
Of the terrors in the way;
In hearing the shallow cry,
Of those who were led astray.

You see the almond tree bloom,
The grasshopper drags along;
Desire fails feeling gloom,
Because so much has gone wrong.

Vanity of vanities,
Since man is not going home;
Immoral insanities,
And he will constantly roam.
