THE POEM ON THE GRAVE

One day walking slowly through a cemetery
At the time just thinking of my dad~
All of those good old wonderful memories
I had of back when I was just a lad~
When down the road came a line of cars
All behind and headed by a herse~
So I sat then down upon an oldest grave
And it was there that I saw a verse~
It took my very eye , and the reason why
As it was written there as if upon a scroll~
And dated the early nineteen hundreds
Away back so far in the days of old~
In My Own Words it read ....
I came into this world with nothing
I'll be going out the same~
I've lived in this life three lifetimes
I've no regrets , no body I can blame~
I've loved and been loved many times
Known beauty in all forms this world wide~
I've Traveled over time every last inch of it
And I enjoyed it with every single stride~
I have got memories by the million
All are good , positive and true~
I am one of the most fore filled souls upon earth
I've done almost all I ever dreamed I'd do~
I've seen and found love and good in all souls
As it was always there-within all to see~
Every soul in their own way trying to find
The peace of mind that still lives within me~

I guess this man wanted all to know that
That his soul was satisfied that he had done his best
And that he gave this life everything he had to give
Having had this written before he was put to rest
He died I feel without regret or need to look back
As felt that he now had way much more still to do
He lived this life being the best soul he could ..
