Every country kid they had one
Some where not far from home-
A place to climb and play in
A big old tree all of their own-

There was always a big old tree
To climb in and under spend some time-
It was cowboys , Knights or explorers
Or games of pirate adventure fine-

So much of our then childhood life
Was spent under or within a tree-
A hut built away up high somewhere
When we were all young wild and free-

Big old trees filled with country breeze
We'd usually be found under or within same-
Country kids all had one along the way
Climbing and playing no end of game-
