So Many Spend Life Un-Knowing

Each generation does things their way but missing
So much as they never realize because of this
There are places they well might never find
Within daily life mind body soul a missing bliss

Not being mostly the captains of their souls
Almost all from birth taught to in life follow
Never knowing they are vehicles souls travel in
Later in life looking back wishing so in sorrow

Almost all look back saying if I lived life again
I'd live life my way instead next time for sure
And listen more to the open minds I'd talked to
Rather than simply choose their advice to ignore

If I ever wanted to drive on rough country roads
I'd choose an older car with it's been there before
Not a new one that'd not been off the highways
And had little to talk about of life to adore

I talked long ago to those that really knew
And never listened closely wishing now I had
Instead of many without any earned experiences
But university lifes travelers happy never sad

Several I'd met older tried to tell me so often
The world that be can teach you much it's true
Safe places to travel and those that are not
To give life all I had to give as well too

Regardless of what I decided to do in life
They told me to give my life my very all
Not to half do anything from day to day
Of lifes precautions to take never to fall

Older cars know the way to enjoy life true
They don't worry never in any hurry in life
New cars scared of scratches never going far
And petrified of lifes slightest ever strife

Old advice won't tell you twice not to tell
Others of what you have in life have learned
Keeping what you know to yourself it's so
As your personal daily lifes candles burned

Lots of room they'll tell where secrets dwell
Within the ver back rooms of ones deepest mind
With only your soul holding the very key to them
And only you to them you can yourself ever find

The reason for this is to insure a peaceful bliss
As only others will throw obsticles in your way
To know a magic life less others woe and strife
Regardless of that being during your night or day

If just maybe you find a real true friend that be
One you know you could trust with friendship true
But keeping in mind they are difficult to find
Over an entire life you might meet one or two

However each and every day live life your way
Knowing along university lifes roads it's so
That when it comes to looking back you'll smile
Knowing you alone took risks with only you to know

This life is a classroom your here to of life learn
After all said and done you'll sit for your test
Don't do the homework of others improve your own
Looking back you'll know you gave life your best
