Come O children listen to me,
I will teach you to fear the Lord;
The rationale for you to see,
Why He is beloved and adored.

What man is who desires life,
Loves many days that he sees good;
Tolerating the toils and strife,
Be obedient as he should.

Keep your tongue and lips from deceit,
The evil that produces guile;
The means that causes you to cheat,
To live a sinful lifestyle.

Avoid evil by doing good,
Seeking peace all that you pursue;
Knowledge of what righteously stood,
With wisdom able to construe.

The Lord’s eyes are on the righteous,
And His ears open to their cry;
With focus on serving justice,
His wrath on those who cheat and lie.

He’s against those who do evil,
Cutting off memory of them;
They are henchmen of the devil,
Assuring that He will condemn.

When the righteous cry in distress,
The Lord will deliver them out;
Forgiving them when they transgress,
Calming them down from any doubt.

The Lord will mend the broken heart,
Saving them from the crushed spirit;
His Word guides them to a new start,
Blesses them upon their merit.
