Have mercy on me, O God,
Pertained to your steadfast love;
Abundant mercy where flawed,
Erase transgressions thereof.

Wash out the iniquity,
And cleanse me from all my sin;
Rid the immorality,
That has corrupted me within.

For against you, I have sinned,
Done the evil in your sight;
Since I am not disciplined,
Not worthy in Your delight.

Be justified in Your Word,
And blameless in Your judgment;
Since I wandered from Your herd,
I plea for Your atonement.

My birth came iniquity,
Sin did my mother conceived;
Because infidelity,
Has caused me to be deceived.

For You delight in the truth,
Filling wisdom in my heart;
Teach me not to be uncouth,
Rather Your Word to impart.
