What causes quarrels and fights,
Is this not passions at war;
To keep you awake through nights,
Conflicts from the inner core.

You lust, have nots so you kill,
Desire what to obtain;
You quarrel, fight to instill,
For your views as to retain.

You ask but do not receive,
Because of asking wrongly;
For the passions you conceive,
Desires wanting strongly.

You adulterous people,
Do not know that the ill-will;
That you have with the Gospel,
Rather have a pleasing thrill.

You think there is no purpose,
For envy over the spirit;
As being an injustice,
For your immoral merit.

But God is giving more grace,
But He opposes the pride;
The humbled He will embrace,
And of those who will abide.

Submit yourself unto God,
Resist Satan who will flee;
Give the Lord honor and laud,
Confess to become sin free.

Draw nearer unto the Lord,
And He will draw near to you;
When you live in one accord,
Continue for being true.

Cleanse your hands you sinners,
Purify your mind and heart;
Become spiritual winners,
Letting a new life to start.

Be wretched to mourn and weep,
Let laughter return the joy;
You will get a restful sleep,
Gloomy burdens will destroy.

Humble yourself to the Lord,
He lifts you up and exalt;
Show He is loved and adored,
He will erase any fault.
